How to make corn flour syrup
Making corn flour syrup fist step is making corn flour from corn by dry milling method (different with the corn starch wet milling method) . Then use the corn flour to produce the corn syrup .
The production process of Make corn flour syrup as below :
1). Corn flour production process :
When making corn flour with dry milling method ,first cleaning the corn , then separate the corn germ from corn , then mill the corn meal to required size corn flour .
2) Mixing process:
Mix corn flour with water to make corn flour slurry and control a proper value of PH and temperature. To wait the corn flour to absorb enough water.
3). Liquefaction process:
Corn flour slurry is sent to buffer tank then liquefied by jet cooker with the aid of enzyme and steam.
4). Deproteinization process:
Because the syrup is only produce from starch , the impurity inside of Corn flour slurry (mainly is the corn protein) will be removed . Of course , you can get the good quality by product corn protein cake for making high grade animal feed. After separation , the liquid material (syrup) will be pump to next process.
5)Saccharification process :
The liquefied material keeps reaction for a certain time under the action of enzyme. The required DE value of the glucose will be produced.
6)Decolorization process :
Use the activated carbon to remove the color of the corn flour syrup . Then press out the carbon from corn flour syrup . For getting more clear corn flour syrup , it usually need make two times .
7)Ion exchange process :
Ion exchange machine will attract all the cation and anion and other small electron, then will get very pure corn starch syrup for people eating.
8)Evaporate process :
The evaporator will take out the excess water inside of the corn flour syrup to increase the corn flour syrup density to reach the buyer requirement .
